Hence the the title of this website, everyone likes to call me Darth Veda! During races, I can always count on my Dad to scream, "Unleash the darthness!" This nickname has stuck with me for so long and it really motivates me to be original. I feel the need to set myself apart from the rest of the crowd and the name is just one thing that makes me unique.
Mountain biking isn't a typical passion for most teenage girls, but I continue to follow the path I'm on. Something about maneuvering through the most technical trails gives me the biggest sense of accomplishment of anything I've ever done. Ever since I was little, I always wanted to be the youngest to complete something and that is what propelled me into having such a competitive mentality. My dream is to not only to become a professional, but a role model as well. After meeting famous riders such as Emily Batty and Georgia Gould, I knew I wanted to follow in their footsteps. I hope someday that younger riders will come up and ask for an autograph or a picture! But I have a long road to travel to prove myself in the cycling world and as a person.
